Lifelong advocates for our community and co-founding members of CPC!
Virginia M. Kee and Dr. Herbert L. Kee, both born and raised in Manhattan's Chinatown, have dedicated their lives envisioning a better future for Asian American and low-income immigrants throughout New York City. Herbert was a doctor who served the community into his 80s, and Virginia was an educator and remains involved in the community.
As co-founding members of the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) in 1965, their work continues today through CPC's impacts.
The Kee Legacy Campaign is a celebration of the couple's enduring spirit and the ideals they championed. CPC will recognize their contributions to our community by naming the conference center at CPC One in their honor.
Join us in honoring Virginia M. Kee and Dr. Herbert L. Kee, and their shared belief in a brighter future for all!
In a few short months, CPC One will open. Our first-ever permanent Manhattan home will house our Manhattan Community Center across three floors, include over 200 units of affordable housing, and serve as headquarters for our 50+ programs across New York City. The Virginia M. Kee and Dr. Herbert L. Kee Conference Center will be on the first floor of CPC One!
