We want to wish you and your family a warm, safe and happy holiday season. After a successful harvest we are looking forward to a small break ourselves. We will be closed on December 25th, 26th and January 1st, open the 27th and 28th and the 30th, 31st from 12-4 and the 29th from 12-7. After New Year's Day we will be open year-round starting at 10am. This winter we are pleased to offer an off-season cooking class. Join us January 25th while Terrafina Chef de Cuisine, Natasha Schooten shares the fork to table program and philosophy with special guests, winemaker Robert Summers and Jennifer Schell, author of The Butcher, The Baker, the Wine and Cheese Maker, An Okanagan Cookbook. This class will offer a multi-course dinner paired with our award-winning wines while seated in our intimate 14-seat demonstration kitchen and learning from some local slow-food advocates.

Tickets are $110 per person, plus taxes and gratuities.

Get away with Hester Creek and Terrafina. Enjoy live music and an intimate dinner prepared by Chef de Cuisine Natasha Schooten of Terrafina Restaurant. Finish the night with a romantic night at our Villa followed by a gourmet breakfast in the morning. Your deluxe suite comes with a soaker tub, walk-in shower, fireplace and private patio. Your stay with us includes a gourmet breakfast and a complimentary bottle of Hester Creek wine.

Evening packages are $499 per couple (inclusive of taxes and gratuities).

Come celebrate the sea at this "one-pot wonder" feast. The low country boil is a social, interactive, taste of the south. With New Orleans style seasonings of Cajun, jambalaya and creole this kitchen party will have you complaining about the heat and the bugs of Louisiana right here in the south Okanagan. Lots of food and great wine are included with your ticket. As a bonus we are offering complimentary shuttles in the Oliver and Osoyoos areas.

Charity Giving at Hester Creek For those of you that may not know we are thrilled announce that this year we have sponsored our local Oliver Elementary School Farm to Table, meal program with an $11,000 donation! The school provides breakfast and lunch to the students twice a week from October to May. Oliver Elementary School Principal Mike Safek, states "Oliver Elementary is pleased and grateful to have received support for our meal programs from Hester Creek Estate Winery, support of OES meal programs will allow us to continue to provide healthy breakfasts and lunches to our students." As an added bonus, our Garlic Festival that was held at the end of September raised an additional $2100 for the school! The festival's admission was by donation to the meal programs at the school and we saw approximately 1200 people in the 5 hour event. Thank you to all that came out to support us, our local framers and our great local cause!

The Judge voted #1! Tuesday November the 20th marked the 5th annual BC Iconic Reds tasting with SIP Wines in Richmond, BC. A total of 20 of the most sought after, BC reds, were brought to the table, double decanted and served blind to a crowd of over 100 eager wine lovers. These wines are the top-tier wines in each winery's portfolio, including such awarded wines as Painted Rock's Red Icon and Black Hills' Nota Bene. The overall favourite, voted by ballot, was our 2009 vintage of The Judge. This ultra-premium wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grown from 100% estate grown fruit. "The power of this wine begins with the toasty, bacon fat aromas acquired from time in toasted barrels. Yet the concentrated fruit, with notes of black currant and vanilla, handles the oak well. This is a bold, rich wine with a lot of personality," says prolific wine writer John Schreiner. The well-aged, limited release 2009 vintage of The Judge is available in the wine shop and on our web store exclusively, along with a few lucky restaurants.
