Het aanbod aan interviews met "grote" artiesten zorgde voor een luxe-probleem op de redactie. Er waren per slot van rekening heel wat kandidaten om op de cover te plaatsen, maar uiteindelijk hebben we beslist om de eer aan Lemmy te laten. Daar hebben we een goede reden voor. Vandaag over precies veertien dagen verschijnt immers "Aftershock", de nieuwe cd van Motörhead. Hoeveel bands kunt u opnoemen die na een onafgebroken carrière van ruim vijfendertig jaar, tweeëntwintig (!) platen en een zo goed als oneindig aantal singles, live albums en compilaties nog steeds brandend actueel zijn? Juist, héél weinig! Maar er is meer. We legden vijf Nederlandse death metalbands, die elk met een meer dan puike nieuwe plaat op de proppen kwamen, op de rooster. We belden met zowel Pestilence, Izegrim, Bodyfarm, Hail Of Bullets en Kill Division. We hadden ook fijne gesprekken met Trivium, Sepultura, Death Angel Satyricon, Korn, Alter Bridge en Ted Nugent. Je krijgt er ook nog een gratis cd bij met daarop alweer een fijn allegaartje aan bands die recent met nieuw werk voor de dag kwamen/komen. Rock Tribune = een gratis cd + 108 bladzijden van het fijnste leesvoer en dat voor amper 5,20 Euro.

In onze vorige nieuwsbrief stond een wedstrijd die mensen de kans gaf om 6 filmtickets te winnen van Metallica "Through The Never" (Kinepolis Kortrijk). The range of interviews with “big” artists created a luxury problem here at the Rock Tribune headquarters. There were many candidates to put on the cover of the magazine but at the end we decided to give the honor to Lemmy and  therefore we had a good reason. Today in exactly two weeks the new album from Motörhead “Aftershock” will be released. How many bands could you mention that after an uninterrupted career of more than thirty-five years, twenty-two records and a virtually infinite number of singles, live albums and compilations are still topical? Right, very little! But there is more. We interviewed five Dutch death metal bands and each of them came with more than an excellent new album to release. We had a phoner with Pestilence, Izegrim, Bodyfarm, Hail Of Bullets and Kill Division. We also had nice conversations with Trivium, Sepultura, Death Angel, Satyricon, Korn, Alter Bridge and Ted Nugent. You also get a free cd containing all different bands with some new work. One cd + 108 pages of the finest stuff in metal for only 5,20 Euros.
