Run, run as fast as you can, you can’t catch us as we learned all about the Gingerbread man, girl and so much more.  We will begin learning about the Christmas story in the Bible and about other countries and how they celebrate Christmas.  This is such a fun, festive and full season of love and giving.  We were given the best present of all when Jesus was born.

• Unit Study: We will be learning about different countries from around the world and how they celebrate Christmas.
• Show and Tell:  Bring your favorite Christmas Book to share with the class.  Be prepared to share 3 things about your book with the class (What is the book about?Why is it your favorite?What is your favorite part of the book?, etc.)
• Bible:  We will  begin learning about the Life of Jesus Christ and the first Christmas.
• Bible Verse: 1 John 4:10, “God loved us and sent His son.”
• Reading: We will learn the letters x (box) and z (zipper) and continue to practice reading stories from our classroom readers.
• Sight Words:  be, was
• Comprehensive list for this 9 weeks: put, her, he, she, to, help, can, not, too, stop, are, out, they, saw, look, them
• Math: We will introduce the addition fact family for 3, addition twins, and the 90 numbers family, and reviewing previously learned concepts (counting to 100, number families, left and right, penny value, number recognition, telling time and number writing)

• ecember 16 - Christmas parties @ 12:15-1:00 and early dismissal. No extended care.
• December 17-January 3 - NO SCHOOL, Christmas break
