Linked below is the State Shipments for June 2019.

Here are a few key findings:

  • On a selling day adjusted basis, total U.S. beer shipment volume increased by 0.6% in June.
  • Consumer spending on beer increased by an estimated 2.2% during June 2019. 
  • In raw terms, June’s beer shipment volume was down 4.2%.
  • June’s beer shipment decline was driven primarily by consumer trade-up to imports and FMBs, including hard seltzers.
  • About 1-in-3 states’ shipment volumes declined at double-digit rates in June.
  • June performance was generally softest in the middle of the U.S., while the Northwest and Southeast showed above average trends.
