A friend recently asked me what The Conversation has accomplished in the last year. I went on for more than 30 minutes. I won’t do that here, but I thought it important to share with you some of our 2019 highlights. We exist to unlock knowledge for the public good. And I could not be prouder of what our team has accomplished in the last year:

  • The Conversation US hit an all-time record of our articles being read 10 million times per month.
  • We’ve worked with thousands of academics to unlock their knowledge and expertise for the public in more than 2,400 stories.
  • We signed a major deal with Yahoo! News to distribute our content.
  • We began appearing in hundreds of local newspapers each month – papers that are read by people on both sides of the political divide, in small towns and big cities in all 50 states.

Our scholars have expertise and a passion to get their research to the public. Our editors have passion and skill to help those scholars reach a growing audience.

Together we are publishing evidence-based journalism to fight against misinformation every day. Will you support this vital service?

Have a wonderful New Year’s and a peaceful 2020.
