It's official and we couldn't be more excited. Alan Doyle will be our guest speaker at Food For Thought 2016. Mark your calendars for this Friday night of FUN!

Alan Doyle has one of our country’s most recognizable voices. As the lead singer of Great Big Sea, he’s made his way into the homes and hearts of Canadians across this country, blending traditional folk music and pop to create something truly unique.

His recently released memoir, 'Where I Belong' details the time he spent growing up in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland—a place whose influence comes through in everything he does.

Canada 150 Fund

Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017 is a historic moment with the power to bring people and places together as we dream big about our communities and our country.

In honour of this historic moment, Community Foundations of Canada, your Community Foundation, the Government of Canada and leading national philanthropists have come together to create a National Community Fund for Canada’s 150th.

This fund will provide thousands of small grants to local initiatives across the country to bring out the best that Canada has to offer for the sesquicentennial. OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS IN SEPTEMBER 2016!

Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation has a unique opportunity to be a part of the Canada 150 National movement. For every dollar we raise for our local Canada 150 Fund, Community Foundations of Canada will match it up to $40,000.

We are reaching out to our donors and fundholders with a challenge; to join with us and invest in this Canada-wide project.

Your investment will make a contribution to community initiatives, activities and events to mark Canada’s 150th right here in Cambridge and North Dumfries. MORE DETAILS
