Click here June is Pride Month and CPC Project Reach will be participating in Give OUT Day, a month-long fundraising campaign culminating on June 30, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. Give OUT Day is hosted by Horizons Foundation, the world's first LGBTQ community foundation. CPC Project Reach is a youth and adult run, multi-racial, multi-gender, anti-discrimination and social justice training center with a primary focus of empowering youth and marginalized communities, namely LGBTQIA + P.O.C Communities, to challenge identity destruction among New York City’s disparate youth communities. We operate by bringing people who would otherwise never meet, youth spanning across the 5 different boroughs, from all different backgrounds to create a multi-gender, multi-racial safe space where youth are free to express themselves and voice their opinions. Our goal is to combat stigma that is perpetuated in schools, homes, and agencies across New York City, with an analysis on root causes to encourage critical thinking and proactive responses. Our curriculum challenges participants to discover biases within themselves and others and explore the sources of those biases to encourage a disruption of discrimination. Your support will help empower our youth, LGBTQIA and P.O.C Communities! ABOUT CPC The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is a social services organization that creates positive social change.
