The Director of Part-time Faculty Support seeks to hire a part-time faculty member to serve in a liaison role within the university. This one-year position includes a $1000.00 per semester stipend.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Senior Part-time Instructor Status (not currently AP or staff at GVSU)
• Online teaching experience and/or other strong technological capabilities
• Strong desire to advocate for and network with part-time faculty across the university
• Possess a broad and forward-thinking vision for the roles of part-time faculty at GVSU
  *Other strong credentials will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Serve on UAS Part-time Faculty Task Force
Collaborate closely with the Director of Part-time Faculty Support to:

• Strengthen current Part-time Faculty Network and strengthen the social media presence
• Compile information related to Part-time faculty for the Pew FTLC monthly newsletter and disseminate other outreach/professional development initiatives
• Maintain expertise in best practices for supporting part-time faculty and promote these practices across the university
• Establish a network of part-time faculty teaching mentors for topics including online training and evaluation tools
• Solicit nominations for the Pew Teaching Excellence Award for Part-time Faculty and advocate for other recognition for performance excellence
• Enhance existing data collection efforts relevant to part-time faculty
