Tree Trimming Schedule to begin: Wednesday, July 3, 2024

Revival Landscaping, our contracted tree trimming service has advised that they will begin trimming the trees on both Championship Drive and General Drive on Wednesday, July 3rd.

Tree trimming typically involves the removal of dead or overgrown branches to promote the health and appearance of the trees. Revival will use professional equipment, including pruning shears, chainsaws, and bucket trucks, to safely reach and trim the higher branches. The goal is to maintain the trees' natural shape while ensuring they do not pose a hazard to power lines or properties. It's important for us to complete this work before the major portion of the 2024 hurricane season to minimize potential storm damage.

We urge drivers to exercise caution and pay close attention to the tree trimming vehicles and any traffic rerouting that may be in place. Please follow the instructions given by the tree trimming crew members to ensure everyone's safety. Slow down when approaching work areas and be mindful of any temporary road closures or detours that might be set up during the trimming process.

Recent Improvements to Crosswalk Drainage at the Reclinata Circle

The Board recently addressed a significant issue with rainwater accumulating in the crosswalk area at the Reclinata Circle between Augusta Pointe and Pinehurst. This water buildup forced pedestrians to step into soggy grass to access the crosswalk and get across the street. After reviewing several options, the Board agreed to a proposal from Badger Underground LLC to install drain boxes designed to eliminate this water accumulation.

Badger began and completed the installation in a single day on Thursday, June 27th. Coincidentally, a large rainstorm occurred later that afternoon, providing an immediate test of the new drainage system. first photo show the rainwater accumulation from a previous storm earlier in the month. The second photo shows the minimal water buildup after the rainstorm on June 27th.

The drainage work has significantly minimized the rainwater accumulation, allowing pedestrians to cross without having to navigate around the walkway or thru the water. We will continue to monitor the area to ensure the problem is fully resolved and does not return. (pressure cleaning the area is scheduled)

Your Board remains fully committed to enhancing the beauty and, equally importantly, the safety of our wonderful Eagleton community. We are now exploring solutions for other areas affected by rainwater buildup, emphasizing our dedication to maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for all residents.

Fireworks Safety and Guidelines for a Happy July 4th Holiday

As we gear up to celebrate Independence Day, it's crucial to keep fireworks safety in mind to ensure a joyous and incident-free holiday for everyone in our community. Fireworks are a traditional part of July 4th festivities, but they can pose significant safety risks if not handled properly.

In Florida, fireworks laws are stringent to ensure safety and prevent accidents. According to state regulations, only sparklers, approved novelties, and trick noise makers are legal for consumer use. All other types, including firecrackers, rockets, and roman candles, are prohibited unless used by licensed professionals for authorized displays.

Here are some common tips from various fire safety organizations and government agencies concerned with public safety during holidays involving fireworks.

  1. Use Legal Fireworks Only: Stick to legally permitted fireworks and purchase them from licensed vendors.
  2. Designate a Responsible Adult: Assign someone knowledgeable to oversee fireworks activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  3. Clear Launch Area: Choose a clear, open space away from buildings, dry grass, or flammable materials.
  4. Keep Water Handy: Have a bucket of water or a hose nearby for emergencies and to douse used fireworks.
  5. Dispose of Properly: Dispose of used fireworks in a bucket of water to prevent accidental fires.
  6. Pet Safety: Keep pets indoors to reduce their stress from loud noises and to prevent them from getting injured.

Community Awareness and Reporting

If you encounter issues related to fireworks in our local area, remember that safety is a community effort. Please report any significant concerns or disturbances to the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department on their non-emergency line at (561) 799-4445. Your vigilance ensures that our neighborhood remains safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Let's celebrate responsibly this July 4th by prioritizing safety and respecting our community guidelines. Wishing you all a festive and safe Independence Day!

Exciting Upgrades Planned for Eagleton's General Drive Resident-Only Entry

At the June Board of Directors meeting, we discussed the planned improvements and upgrades to the Eagleton resident-only entry on General Drive. Several proposals have been received, and the chairman has requested board members to thoroughly review these proposals and provide their feedback at the July meeting. This careful review process will ensure that we select the most suitable vendor for the job. Additionally, discussions were held about updating the signage for the back gate and considering other potential changes or improvements to enhance the entryway experience for our residents.

The goal is to finalize a contract and begin work as soon as possible after the July meeting, with the ambition of completing all the enhancements before the seasonal residents return in the Fall. These upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to maintain and improve our community infrastructure, ensuring that Eagleton remains a safe, attractive, and well-functioning neighborhood for all residents. We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing more details as we progress.
