The human body needs calcium and protein, and healthy eating guidelines recommend three serves of dairy per day. But many cheeses are also high in salt and saturated fat, which we should limit to protect our hearts and waistlines.

So we asked five experts their verdict on cheese, and all five agreed cheese is not a bad food. But one serve of cheese is probably smaller than you think: about the size of a matchbox. If you’re eating a wheel of brie in one sitting, you’re over doing it.
