Barnard College, The Liberal Arts College for Women in New York City

Dear Student,

So sorry about the error in days in our previous email...the corrected dates are below!

We are delighted that you have been considering Barnard College among your potential college choices for Fall 2015.

In this day of automated responses, we know that it takes a great deal of patience to wait for our reply.  For this reason, we write to notify you that we will be emailing decision letters to all regular decision applicants on Thursday, March 26th, 7:00 PM EST

Since we are dependent upon multiple internet service providers to actually deliver our emails, you may find that your email is delayed or rejected by a spam filter; this is not at all intentional.  Please know that we take all precautions to ensure this does not happen and we apologize in advance for any anxiety it may cause if you are affected.  Please add both bcadmit@barnard.edu and apply@barnard.edu to your contacts list to help ensure next week's email reaches you.

If you are an applicant and are only seeing this message posted to our Facebook page, carefully check the email account you used on your Common Application, including your spam folder, to ensure you receive your email on Thursday, March 26th.  If you are unable to locate the email, please write to us at apply@barnard.edu with an updated or alternate email address.

On the same day we email, we will also mail decisions to all students, just as we have done in previous years. If you have a US mailing address, your decision will arrive via USPS. Decision letters mailed to students who live overseas may take a bit longer to receive, but acceptances will be mailed to overseas addresses via FedEx. In the event that you do not receive an email, you may either phone us beginning the morning of Friday, March 27th or wait for your decision to arrive in the mail.

Finally, while we cannot admit every student, we do consider each application carefully. We do so with the context of each student's passions and choices in mind. Applications are reviewed without formulas and with attention to all parts of an application, but we do receive applications from far more students than we will be able to admit. We thank you for taking great care with what you submit, and please trust that we have tried to do the same in our review and decisions.

We wish you all the best in your decision process.

With best regards,

The Office of Admissions at Barnard College
