3rd Grade eNews

It’s hard to believe it’s May!  We are definitely enjoying the last few weeks of 3rd grade together!

• Bible: Saul’s Conversion
• Verse: Isaiah 1:18, “Come, let us discuss this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will be like wool.”
• Spelling: In unit 33, students will study words with the suffix -er and -est. Spelling Words: sweeter, sweetest, sharper, sharpest, happier, happiest, safer, safest, cuter, cutest, closer, closest, funnier, funniest, wiser
• Math: 9 as a factor, Reducing fractions by dividing by 3, 4 and 5
• Social Studies: Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Map Skills English: Friendly letters
• Reading: Novel: The Boxcar Children

• May 2 - Return envelopes to school for Flat Stanley Project
• May 12 - Last Day for Millionaire/Hundred Thousand
• May 24 - Awards Assembly @ 9:00
