There are plenty of "hurray's" to highlight for our School, and what better way to do that than in our annual report? The theme for this year’s edition is “Multiplying Our Impact,” and the report features stories about the ripple effects an Outward Bound course can have. The results of the report point to solid financials for the school and a record-breaking year in terms of scholarships awarded.
This increase in scholarship availability is a direct result of the extraordinary success of our 50th Anniversary Campaign. We expect to see this trend in scholarships continue into 2019 as we forge new partnerships, multiplying the impact of Outward Bound in communities. Yet, the last decade has proved challenging to find the right kind of programming for those months when young people go back to school. This summer however, was a success story as NCOBS resurrected an old program with the help of endowment funds that serves teachers and their students with short courses in the mountains. Over 130 students, teachers, and administrators from schools from Philadelphia down to Miami traveled to Cedar Rock Base last year!
