Keynote Speaker Jacqueline Carter

Mindfulness in an Organizational Context

What do Google, Sony, American Express and Suncor have in common?  Not only are they highly successful and recognized as top employers to work for, these companies have worked with Jacqueline Carter to improve business results, by harnessing the power of mindfulness in their organizations.

In her highly interactive November 26th Plenary Session, Jacqueline starts by asking if there was one thing you could change about yourself to be more successful in your professional life, what would that be?  No matter what you would like to change - the place to start is with your mind because our actions come from words, our words come from thoughts and our thoughts come from our mind. If we truly want to change our actions, we need to train our mind to be more aligned with our goals.

The same is true when we think of this in an organization context.  How many times have you experienced changes or decisions made in a company that ‘just don’t make sense’? They weren’t well ‘thought out’ or there was a ‘disconnect’ between what the organization says and how those changes were actually delivered or supported.  As a leader in your organization, are you receiving such feedback from your employees through the grapevine, engagement surveys or as they depart to work elsewhere?

Jacqueline Carter is a Partner with The Potential Project and with over 20 years of consulting and management experience, she has helped organizations manage change and achieve results. She is passionate about helping individuals and organizations realize their potential starting with training the mind. Jacqueline is a Partner with an international organization that provides corporate mindfulness programs. Her clients include: Suncor, Google, Sony, and American Express, to name a few. Jacqueline is a contributor to The Huffington Post and has appeared on Channel News Asia Breakfast Television as well as radio talk shows. Jacqueline holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Behaviour and an undergraduate degree in Labour Management Relations and Mathematics.  Jacqueline has lived and worked in Canada, the US, Australia, and Singapore.
