With Hurricane Milton set to make landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast, the state is bracing for the arrival of its 10th named storm this year. Following closely on the heels of Hurricane Helene, which hit the Gulf Coast just two weeks ago, Milton is expected to reach the Tampa Bay area by Wednesday, though the exact path remains uncertain. A hurricane watch is already in effect for much of the region. In Northern Palm Beach County, the primary concerns include heavy rainfall and localized flooding, which could begin today and continue through Wednesday. While the Gulf Coast is expected to see the most severe impact, our area may still experience strong winds, downpours, and potential urban flooding from the storm's outer bands. For those who are out of town, we encourage you to remain in close contact with your house-watch personnel and stay updated on the latest developments. Your safety and preparedness are a top priority. Voting Location Change Notice Attention voters! If you previously cast your ballot at Christ Fellowship Church on Northlake Boulevard, your voting location has been changed. For more information about this change or any voting-related inquiries, please visit the Supervisor of Elections website at www.votepalmbeach.gov Progress Report: General Drive Entrance Enhancements As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the General Drive Entrance, significant progress is being made, with more improvements on the way in October - weather permitting. ![]() Residents will notice that much of the stone veneer on the entry gate walls and camera pods is nearly complete. The contractor is awaiting an additional stone veneer shipment to finish the exit side. We're also awaiting the City of Palm Beach Gardens' permit for new lighting, signage, and the installation of a flagpole, which will further elevate the entrance's appearance and functionality. We appreciate your continued patience as we work towards completing these enhancements. While we do not anticipate full access closures, should any become necessary, we will promptly inform residents to minimize disruption. Change in Property Management Company for Championship POA ![]() At the September meeting, the Championship POA Board of Directors unanimously voted to end our contract with RealManage LLC and transition to Reef Property Services, effective November 1st. Reef, based locally in Palm Beach Gardens, will provide the same services as RealManage, but at a lower cost and with closer proximity for more responsive service. This decision was difficult, particularly because of our deep appreciation for the local RealManage (formerly United Community Management) team. Constance Canterbury, Sharon Caputo, Hilda Matthew, and Patrick Burns have been exceptional in their roles, with Constance's professionalism and dedication being a key factor in our continuing with RealManage for as long as we did. However, despite their best efforts, persistent communication and accounting issues with RealManage's home office in Texas could not be resolved. The Board believes this transition to Reef Property Services is in the best interest of the community. We look forward to sharing more details about the change in the coming months and appreciate your understanding during this transition. Security Concerns Near General Drive Entry Point We have received feedback from many homeowners regarding the open gate on General Drive, just before the Eagleton entry. This area, owned and maintained by the PGA Resort, was previously secured with a fence and gate for use by the Resort's service vehicles. However, the Resort has removed both, allowing any vehicle to bypass our security gates and thereby enter Eagleton's residential area. ![]() We recognize the security risk this poses to Eagleton's 663 homeowners. While we've had discussions with the PGA Resort and the Palm Beach Gardens Police to address the issue, progress has been slow, and the fence and gate remain down. However, we are committed to resolving this matter and will continue to provide updates. If you are a member of the PGA Resort, we encourage you to share your concerns with Resort Security. Your involvement may help prioritize this issue and speed up its resolution. A Bright and Festive Eagleton: Let’s Shine as One Can you believe we’re already entering Fall? It seems like just yesterday we were enjoying the long summer days, but soon our seasonal residents will be returning to Eagleton. And before we know it, the holidays will be upon us—starting with Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving, and then Christmas and Hanukkah. To bring some festive cheer to Eagleton, we'd like to suggest that all ten communities coordinate their holiday lighting displays this year. Championship will be turning on its holiday lights on Monday, November 25th, and it would be wonderful if the rest of the neighborhoods could follow the same schedule. Let’s light up Eagleton together and create a unified, welcoming atmosphere for the season! PGA-POA Addressing Phone Issues Gate Access System (reposted from August newsletter) As some Eagleton homeowners are aware, there are ongoing issues with the process of calling in visitors to the Gate Access System. This system is managed and maintained by the PGA Property Owners Association, while Eagleton is simply a user of the system. We have received the following update from the PGA-POA: Domestic Violence Awareness Month
