Mahogany Bay, Honduras

Honduras is the second largest country in Central America and has a population of nearly 7.5 million.  Mahogany Bay is located on Roatan Island off the coast of Honduras and is well known for its clear beaches, blue skies and warm sun.  

After its discovery by Christopher Columbus in 1502, the land remained unclaimed and became a haven for French, English and Dutch pirates.  It has been estimated that over 5,000 pirates lived and ruled on Roatan for many, many years. The only pirates who live there today are those who steal your heart away.
