Hi there,

Wallabies management will no doubt be pleased to hear that the incoming All Blacks coach will have a new virtual assistant on the job providing deeper performance insights, not only for his team but also the opposition.

That last point is key, because the Play in the Grey platform from Kiwi data science company Dot Loves Data (along with partners) uses video analysis as its data source. That translates to a million data points a minute on what the opposition did to break the ABs line, and vice versa.

With both the Wallabies and All Blacks licking their wounds after their respective RWC failures, it remains to be seen whether the new tools will trigger analysis paralysis, or help the side bounce back.

In other news:

  • ACCC targets data hungry loyalty programs
  • Getting value out of your businesses voice data
  • SAP fesses up to data handling booboo on gun buy-back
  • Christmas bells signal changing retail-scape

And carrying on the sports theme, we take a look at how a RWC and America’s Cup retailer has gained flexibility, business efficiency, simplified administration and visibility across its business with a single end-to-end ERP solution.

Enjoy the read,
