Highlight: Bristol-Myers Squibb Virology Fellows Research Program

Bristol-Myers Squibb is currently supporting a Fellowship Research Program in Virology. This program is a key component of an ongoing and concerted effort by Bristol-Myers Squibb to advance research and understanding in the areas of HIV/AIDS. The program provides support for Fellows to gain experience in epidemiological and clinical research as it relates to the care of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The program is open to MDs and non-MDs, including clinical Nurses, Pharmacists and PhDs.

The following research topics will be considered:

  • Efficacy and safety of boosted PIs in patients with suspected adherence challenges
  • Impact of boosted PIs on cardiovascular risk
  • Potential mechanistic explanations of slower carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) progression seen with atazanavir
  • Real world evaluation of renal and bone safety of efavirenz and other TDF-containing regimens
  • Real world evaluation of safety of PIs in combination with TAF/FTC
  • Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic considerations of antiretroviral therapy

Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor - Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology - University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Columbia, SC

This is a 12-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
