SurPASS Tip of the Month

Reminders for working with GCO

Always use MCW’s legal name “The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc.” when completing grant applications and contract paperwork.  Checking for this prior to submission to GCO will prevent your application from being returned for revisions.

Grant applications are due to GCO 5 business days prior to the deadline.  Keep this in mind when working around holidays.  For example, for a grant application due January 4, 2021, the eBridge funding proposal will be due to GCO on December 23, 2020.

Clinical Research Tip of the Month:

Case Reports

MCW maintains a policy on Case Reports Using Protected Health Information

Case series of 4 or more patients requires review by the IRB.  Case series of 3 or less does not require IRB review, however, authorization must be obtained from the patients.  If this is not possible, all PHI must be removed.
