Another Major ticked off..
Resident referee David Rishworth has recently had the privilege of officiating at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham, where he was among the leading names in the women’s game.
We are immensely proud of David and delighted to see him receive such an opportunity. Reaching this level is a clear reflection of his professionalism, commitment, and the high regard in which he is held by his peers.
Over a coffee this week, when he returned to the shop, David spoke modestly about the experience, noting that things went very smoothly. He was, however, full of admiration for the standard of play, particularly the players’ accuracy and consistency. He remarked on how effortlessly they were able to produce such impressive distances with remarkable control.
The fast, firm course conditions presented a significant challenge, with unpredictable bounces and bunkers that proved unforgiving. Many players found themselves in difficult positions, despite what initially appeared to be a drive which was splitting the fairway
We are all extremely proud of David and look forward to seeing his continued success.
