The landscape of Beaumont Hospital has changes for the second time with the completion of a second major building by Western at the Hospital. The new facility is a €13million Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Facility.

The project was completed within a 14 month timeframe. Careful management of the traffic and craning operations was paramount as the facilities were constructed as an extension to a live hospital.

Speaking at the official opening Minister Reilly TD said “This state of the art facility, which the people of North Dublin, and County have waited on for more than 20 years, replaces a near Dickensian admission unit on the St Ita's site.”

All Set for the School Year
It's been a busy summer this year with Western completing a new two story,16 classroom school in Glanmire, Co. Cork all ready for the new school year. A seven month timeframe delivered a new school to 72 students with Special Needs. We're excited to announce work has commenced on new school project Stepaside, Co. Working in the shadow of giants Samson and Goliath as work is ongoing on a two phase build project at the iconic Harland & Wolff site on a contract worth £1.6m. Harland & Wolff is the birthplace of momentous engineering projects and has a world renowned reputation for engineering excellence.
Western are proud to be completing two, three-story modular buildings that will be a center of research for RAL. Approximately 1,200 staff at RAL support the work of more than 10,000 scientists and engineers, chiefly from the university research community.
