Large-Scale Photos Presented ‘Voices of the Vivarais’ – an exhibit by quintessential British photographer Tessa Traeger will be on display from Sept. 9 through Oct. 2 at the Civic Center Music Hall. Tessa Traeger has built an international reputation as a master photographer of still life, imbuing her subjects with an intense, personal quality. She has photographed a mountainous area of France known as “The Vivarais”, populated by a group of people that continue to practice ancient techniques and traditions related to food and farming. Traeger’s “Voices of the Vivarais” exhibition features 40 pigment print Innova cold press acid-free photographs. A few of her vintage prints were printed on Kentmere art classic paper, now no longer made. “Tessa Traeger has captured images of this society with dramatic results. City Arts Center is honored to exhibit them at Civic Center Music Hall,” said Mary Ann Prior, City Arts Center Executive Director. The exhibit will remain at Civic Center Music Hall through October 2nd before it is returned to City Arts Center on October 14, 2011. Learn more about the exhibit at CityArtsCenter.org
