CENSUS DAY IS APRIL 1ST- JOIN CPC FOR A #GetOutTheCount WEEK OF ACTION

This Wednesday, April 1st is Census Day. Join CPC in a #GetOutTheCount week of action.

First, make sure you have filled out your Census!

The Census is for everyone, regardless of age, status, employment, or where you were born. Visit www.my2020census.gov  to complete your response or visit CPC’s Census Resource Guide for guidance.

MONDAY, MARCH 30th: MEME MONDAY

Visit Creatives For the Count Meme Generator and make your own Census meme!

Once you have your own Census content, use the hashtags #GetCountedNYC or #AAPI2020 and tag @cpc_nyc on Twitter or Instagram. We’ll repost your content to help spread the message that CPC counts.

TUESDAY, MARCH 31st: REPRESENT OUR COMMUNITIES

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are the fastest growing racial group in the nation. Our communities come from over 30 countries, speaking over 100 languages and countless dialects. Remember, you can check off or write in your identity -- let’s make sure everyone counts!

Census data gives us a closer look at the diverse strengths and needs of our community. Once you finish your Census, visit the #IGotCounted Social Media Toolkit to highlight the diversity of the AAPI community.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1st: #WeCountWednesday

Join CPC’s Director of Policy and Advocacy in a webinar conversation with other national and community AAPI organizations. This webinar will focus on Non-Response Follow Up (NRFU) operations, how local organizations on the ground are adapting their outreach plans, and how to identify census enumerators. RSVP here.

THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd: TRAINER THURSDAY

It’s not too late to become a Census ambassador! Join New York Counts 2020, the Leadership Conference, State Voices, and NALEO Educational Fund for a comprehensive train-the-trainer on census operations, get out the count outreach, digital tools, and field tactics during COVID-19. RSVP here.

FRIDAY, APRIL 3rd: FOLLOWUP FRIDAY

You made it through the week! Check out how New York City’s self-response rates are doing. You can check your neighborhood tract to see your community’s response rate using this map.
Remember, the higher the response rate, the higher your share of resources and representation.

Want to help boost response rates? Sign up to volunteer with NYC Census so you can join future actions that encourage a complete count for all New Yorkers.

Thank you for Advancing Our CommUNITY with Census 2020!
