Chris Hall will be our guest speaker at the February 14th meeting. He will be speaking on "The Christian's Duty to the Government"; this is a topic that we all need to understand. Please go ahead and mark your calendars and invite friends and neighbors.
We had a booth at the Branford Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, January 12th.. Thanks to Judy T. for making some great chili! We had the chance to talk to people about the Tea Party, Agenda 21, and other issues facing us today. Several people signed up to receive our newsletters
We are working on being able to print and distribute the American Patriot News. We need help with getting it distributed in this area. If you know of a business that will let us put the paper in their place, please let us know. If you can help with any of this, please let us know! We will be able to include local information and it can be a great way to get information out to the public. To read the past editions of this paper, go to:
http://americanfreedomwatchradio.com/?page_id=188 scroll down to the bottom of the page. While you are at that website, click on Anti-Agenda 21 Legislation; read the Property Rights Bill that is going to be introduced in the Florida Legislature. If you have not already signed the petition, please sign it today!
We are encouraging our members to attend the County Commission meetings. We have people reporting on these meetings at our monthly meetings. Please try to attend. We will have sign-up sheets at our next meeting. For those of you who may live in the southern part of District 5 in Suwannee County, our County Commissioner, Wesley Wainwright will be holding a "townhall-style" meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31st at the Ranchettes Community Center located on 216th St. For more information on this, contact Sharon at
shiggins@windstream.net. Why not contact your own county commissioner and ask him/her to hold a townhall meeting so that you can become better informed on the issues facing your area? If you are able to get one set up, please let me know and I will help get the information out.

Please attend the "Guns Across America" rally on Jan. 19, 2013, at your state capital building (Except Florida). This event starts at "high noon" local time. Please America, I implore you to stand up for our 2nd amendment rights. Our voices must be heard.
Florida Patriots: We are meeting at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St., Brooksville, FL 34601. This is to help people come from all over the state.
Lawful gun owners use their weapon reluctantly, and only in the gravest of danger. They exercise skill and discipline with their defensive training. Unlike police, a lawful gun owner will never give you a speeding ticket, or tax you to provide you with protection.
Responsible gun owners have always acted as peacekeepers in society.
We acknowledge our responsibility to our well-being, and those around us. We acknowledge that laws are not followed by criminals, and valiantly stand opposed to restrictions on the tools we legally use for defense.

PPACA - ObamaCare in Florida - What Can We Do?
The Florida Legislature is pushing forward with some form of implementing "ObamaCare". What can we do to stop it? Please continue to write, call, email the Governor, your State Senator, your State Representative, and the members of the Select Committees on PPACA. I am including links for the two committees and you can find all the information there to work on this issue.
The Senate Committee is here: http://www.flsenate.gov/Committees/Show/SPPA/ if you have time, scroll down and watch the podcasts on the two committee hearings that have already been held. At approx. the 93 minute mark during the January 14th meeting, you can watch some of the public comments. This will give you good insight into what we are up against.
The House Committee is here: http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Committees/committeesdetail.aspx?SessionId=73&CommitteeId=2738
Please do what you can to help with this endeavor! If you have any trouble finding the information you need, please either email me: shiggins@windstream.net or call me (386) 935-0821
We will have a petition available at our next meeting which asks the Governor and Legislature to "not set up a State Exchange".
