The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended four air changes per hour for office spaces. Facilities consulted with design engineers for several buildings. The building office and classroom spaces on campus were typically designed around 1 cfm/square foot which equates to six air changes/hour, depending on ceiling height.
