Tomorrow is Golden Day  

the Last Day to Register to Vote and the First Day of Early Voting! 

The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) encourages everyone to get out to vote starting tomorrow, Saturday, October 25th, also known as Golden Day!

Golden Day marks two important things for New Yorkers:

• It’s the last day to register to vote.

• It’s also the first day of Early Voting!

We strongly encourage you to make a plan to vote and make your voice heard in this critical election. Early Voting will run from October 25th through November 2nd, and Election Day is on Tuesday, November 4th. 

If you haven’t registered yet and would like to, we recommend registering online or visiting your early voting poll site in person to register and cast your ballot on the same day (only on Golden Day). You can check your poll site for Early Voting and on Election Day here.

Depending on your district, New Yorkers will be voting for the Mayor, Public Advocate, Comptroller, Borough President, City Council, District Attorney, and Justices of the New York Supreme Court as well as 6 ballot proposals. CPC and several partners have joined the Yes on Affordable Housing coalition and are endorsing a “Yes” vote on ballot proposals 2-5 to support the development of affordable housing. We encourage you to check out their information and also do your own research on this issue.

We also want to recognize all of CPC's staff who have been hard at work educating our community about the election. So far, they’ve reached 200 community members with vital election information!
