We hope that you are settling in well and have been enjoying your first set of lectures and seminars. If you haven't already, make sure that you get acquainted with ELE. ELE is the virtual learning environment for Exeter University. All of your module information, announcements and trips will be placed on ELE so make sure that you check it regularly! If you need any help with ELE make sure that you contact a member of staff for some help. Upcoming News and Events: Black History Month October is Black History Month. Please look out for special events around campus celebrating Black History Month. Humanities and SSIS are hosting a seminar on the 21st October on Ibram X. Kendi's, How to be an Antiracist, if you are interested in joining in this seminar please get in touch. B Law Hack The B Law Hack will take place on the 8th-10th October at Pendennis Castle. You will need to meet at Bus Stop D for 9.30am for the three days and you will arrive back at campus for 15:45pm. Truro Combined Court Visits Please remember to sign up to the Truro Combined Court Visit on the 18th October. There are still spaces available and this is not a trip that you want to miss out on! The Penryn Welfare Team Confidential drop-in sessions are available for Law students every Wednesday between 4-5pm. Visit the Info Point in Peter Lanyon building and ask to see a member of the Welfare Team. Exeter Student Ambassador Scheme The student ambassador scheme will be looking for new Law and Business students to talk about the course on the upcoming open days. So if you are passionate about the course, then please think about applying for the position of a student ambassador. Student ambassadors are utilised on a wide range of recruitment, widening participation events and activities throughout the year. If you would like to read Josh's article and get an idea of his preferred research field then click here. Watch out for David Monciardini's chapter, 'Conflicts and Coalitions: The Drivers of European Corporate Sustainability Reforms' in the forthcoming Cambridge Handbook of Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and Sustainability.
