Hi there,

Beca isn’t your normal software company. But the engineering and consulting firm is one of a new breed selling software. Like others, it is creating software-as-a-service offerings – such as FacilityTwin which contextualises asset performance and maintenance data. Such projects have seen Beca, and a growing list of un-tech others, recognised as independent software vendors by Microsoft. More importantly, it’s opened up new revenue streams, at a time when real-life site visits can be problematic.

With half of all technology jobs in New Zealand these days not in technology companies but in IT teams within businesses, there’s opportunity to extract value from IP in the form of new offerings to wider digital markets.

So the question is, can your business benefit from creating a SaaS offering?

And speaking of digitisation, what’s the state of play with your communications strategy? We take a look at how to implement a digital communications plan for your business. It’s one way to help lower costs, improve response times and boost customer satisfaction – if it’s done right.

Enjoy the read,
