Looking Forward to 2019!

 

The BID Team will be producing a packed programme of events for 2019.  Below are the details of some of them.  More dates will be added to the calendar throughout the year.

All of the BID's events support the objectives of increasing footfall, dwell time and spend.  They also raise Altrincham's profile locally and regionally making the town an attractive place to do business for both retail and the professional services.  

 
 
 

Town Centre Deep Cleaning

 
 
 

The town wide programme of deep cleaning, funded by the BID, continues with the latest areas to be cleaned including Lloyd Street and Regent Road.

The Future is Hospitality - FREE event

Job Centre Plus, UKHospitality and Springboard are hosting a FREE event at Old Trafford on Friday 8th March from 12:30pm – 3:30pm. 

This event is designed to bring hospitality leaders and job seekers together to showcase the career opportunities available in the hospitality sector and create opportunities for all people in our community.  

Hospitality businesses in Altrincham have been invited to attend and exhibit to support them to recruit suitable staff.

Paint Altrincham Pink

There are lots of ways to get involved. Some businesses are donating proceeds from product sales to join in the fun, so make sure to visit! Offers include Pink cakes at Gran T’s Coffee House, an award-winning pink pizza at Italian restaurant Tre Ciccio, a delectable risotto dish and gin cocktail from Sardus Cucina, and a gorgeous pink tapas dish at Porta.

Altrincham Vs Cancer Event 
28 Altrincham Businesses and Community Members will be teaming up to run 140k at Pure Gym Altrincham to raise money for The Christie.

Using collective power to reduce business running costs. This is a BID funded service with no charge to you and no obligation.

BID Team & Board Update

Tina Doyle from the Stamford Quarter Shopping Centre has joined the BID Board.  Janine Jesse, Santander and Jennifer Jameson, Jameson and Partners have been invited to join. These new Board members strengthen the professional services, independent and retail representation on the Board.  Phil Cornish from TaxAssist will be standing down having taken an active role since 2016. The BID Board would like to thank Phil for all his support and are pleased that he will be continuing to act as the BID's appointed accountant.

The  BID Board are also pleased to announce that Elizabeth Faulkner has agreed to take on a new part-time role and will focus on BID business development, strategic planning, income generation and opportunities for Altrincham which have opened up since the Great British High Street win.  Kate Gerbich will remain as Events & Communications Manager supported by Abigail Richardson, the BID's Marketing & Projects Assistant.  The BID Board will be recruiting a BID Business Manager in the Spring.
