URBANISE

Thoughts from the CEO

It's been a fantastic quarter for Urbanise! Here are some of the things we have been busy with:

  • PICA’s QLD network went live on the 1st of August, which represented the largest migration we have ever done;
  • We won 17 new customers;
  • Continued the process of migrating our customers from Mystrata to our new cloud Urbanise strata; we have been getting some great feedback from our customers. The automation of manual processes like levies and BAS are allowing our customers to help focus on the front office;
  • We are almost there with launching our fully integrated printing service, stay tuned on this one;
  • Our teams are growing; we are busy adding more support staff and developers. We want to ensure we are continually investing in our products and our customer service.

Product Updates

FACILITIES

Adrian Bertuna
Product Manager - FM

The Urbanise Facilities team has recently released their new job time-sheet module for self-delivery staff to book time against jobs. Read more about Timesheets here.

We are still busy working through the new facility bookings module to book out different amenities such as locations, areas and assets.

We're continuing to make good progress on a large upgrade of our global search engine that is used widely across all products for efficient filtering and searching (eg. jobs, requests, locations, assets, job plans etc.)

The upgrade will allow us to provide more options to our customers around filtering and searching large data sets.  The team has invested heavily in our cloud infrastructure to provide improved system availability and resilience for our customers.

STRATA

Leslie Leahy
Product Manager - Strata

In preparation for the end of the financial year, the Urbanise Strata team was heavily focused on the delivery of our new BAS and Tax Returns modules. These modules streamline the creation of returns across large volumes of properties, providing a substantial efficiency improvement over what is typically a very time-consuming task. We’ve also continued to add certificates and reports to ensure we have solid coverage for our clients migrating from our legacy strata platform. Some of these reports include:

  • Company Title Certificate
  • Section 119 Certificate
  • Section 184 Certificate
  • Output VAT Report
  • Unpaid Accounts Receivable (live report)

User feedback is critical for any product, and we always try to implement improvements based on what we’re hearing from our users. Some user suggestions that we implemented recently include:

  • Drag and drop files on the “Unit Details” and “Owner” screens
  • Download levy PDF’s from the Unit Ledger
  • Ability to turn on/off the “Automatic Cost Centre Transfer” function
  • Added a search function to the CID selector screen
  • Ability to add negative line items on Accounts Payable invoices
  • Various improvements to the Tasks module

In the lead-up to Christmas we’re focused on a new “Common Property” register, enhancements to the Chart of Accounts, the ability to transfer funds to an investment account via ABA files and an integration to Active Directory.

We’re also continuing to invest in additional performance enhancements and cloud infrastructure to ensure the system exceeds expectations as our user base grows.
