Experience a Fusion of CULTURE & COCKTAILS at Bok Tower Gardens Featuring LAO TIZER QUARTET April 7th at 6 p.m.

LAKE WALES, Fla. - Experience an evening of smooth jazz and cool cocktails as Bok Tower Gardens presents CULTURE & COCKTAILS: Jazz featuring the LAO TIZER QUARTET on Thursday, April 7th at 6 p.m. The event will be held in the all-new Outdoor Kitchen located adjacent to the Visitor Center, and guests will enjoy a special reception with refreshments and a meet and greet with the artists following the performance. Advance tickets are $10 per person and price will increase day of event (seating is limited). Tickets are available for purchase online at www.boktowergardens.org or by calling 863.734.1222.

This will be the first public event held in the new Outdoor Kitchen and offers guests a "fresh" opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Bok Tower Gardens from different perspective. The concert is a joint partnership with Polk State College’s JEWEL OF THE RIDGE JAZZ FESTIVAL April 6-10 and is a part of the weeklong festivities. CULTURE & COCKTAILS is sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.

ABOUT LAO TIZER QUARTET

Driven by an explosive mix of jazz, rock, classical, Afro Cuban, and world rhythms, LAO TIZER QUARTET is the rising star of the world-fusion musical genre. The quartet is led by keyboardist/composer Lao Tizer, with Ric Fierabracci playing bass, Gene Coye on the drums, and Steve Nieves playing the sax, along with percussion and vocals. Establishing themselves in the contemporary jazz world, the LAO TIZER QUARTET was a 2011 nominee for "Jazz Group of the Year" and has toured around the globe including performances at the Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta, the Joy of Jazz Festival in Johannesburg, the Dubai Jazz Festival, Barbados Jazz Festival, the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival, and the Festival International Providencia Jazz in Santiago, Chile.

Their diverse resume includes performance slots alongside Zappa Plays Zappa, Jethro Tull, Isaac Hayes, Al Jarreau, Spyro Gyra, George Benson, Soulive, Babyface, Bruce Hornsby, and Robin Thicke.
