ENGINEERING FEATS FROM THE RENAISSANCE TO INSPIRE AND DELIGHT ART, SCIENCE AND HISTORY ENTHUSIASTS IN  RENAISSANCE ENGINEEERS
- DA VINCI TO TACCOLA

The Renaissance Period (1280 - 1527) has traditionally been studied solely as a rebirth in literature and art. Less recognized but equally as important are the technological advancements that began in late fourteenth-century Italy and lasted well throughout the fifteenth century.  Renaissance Engineers illustrates the animated landscape of technical achievement by the generations of engineers who inspired Leonardo da Vinci, including Brunelleschi, Taccola, and Francesco di Giorgio.

Having retired the acclaimed seven-year exhibition tour of Leonardo da Vinci:  Man Inventor Genius in 2015, EDG is proud to present a scholarly and artistic exhibition - rich with oringals and hands-on interactives - for science, art, and history lovers of all ages.  Its impressive working models represent not only centuries-old machines, but also magnificent works of art, including spectacular models of Brunelleschi’s dome of the Florence Cathedral and da Vinci's ingenious flying machine - its bat wings spanning forty feet. Click here for more information, including exhibition brochure, object list, installation images, and tour schedule.
