New S300 pendant launch with multi movement, electro-mechanical, articulating arm

Starkstrom has designed a new multi movement electro-mechanical, elliptical articulating arm for our new range of S300 pendants. 

The new  S300 multi-movement pendant has a number of striking new design features including a new motor with heavy duty lifting capacity of 180kgs, a modular elliptical arm arrangement available in a number of different lengths (which is extremely infection control friendly), and a modular design with low life costs. Coupled with the original features of the unique triangular pendant column, this makes the new pendant hard to beat technically and aesthetically. Our own extensive range of pendants covers the Operating Room, Critical Care areas and A & E and is generally custom designed for each project

Starkstrom equips four operating rooms at Chelsea & Westminster

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital has opened four new dedicated paediatric operating rooms as part of the development of the Chelsea Children’s Hospital, designed to provide world-class children’s services following the hospital’s designation as the lead centre for specialist paediatric and neonatal surgery in North West London.  The facility is equipped to carry out the most complex surgery on babies and children, with each operating room equipped to the highest standard, combining technical excellence with a sleek, modern and uncluttered appearance.
Medical engineering specialist, Starkstrom, was brought in to provide various pieces of equipment, including surgeons' control panels and KLS Martin marLED operating lights, after extensive research by the surgical team, assisted by equipment consultants, showed these lights to be the ideal choice.  Starkstrom is the official UK distributor for the lights, and has many years of experience successfully designing, installing and maintaining clinical light systems in a variety of environments.

Starkstrom launches own extensive range of MEIGaN compliant Illuminated Warning Signs

Our own range of robust, high quality, one two and three channel CE marked Illuminated Warning Signs is manufactured to BS EN60598-1 & BS EN55015 and is MEIGaN compliant, fully earthed, Class 1 equipment for equipotential bonding and touch voltages. Completely designed and manufactured in our own facility, each sign can be seamlessly integrated into laser interlocking and x-ray safety protection systems.

Starkstrom appointed as sole UK and Ireland supplier and service provider for the full range of Merivaara™ operating tables and trolleys

As part of its integrated range of operating room and critical care area equipment, Starkstrom is delighted to have been appointed sole UK supplier and service provider for the full range of Merivaara operating tables and trolleys. The range is suitable for both general and specialised surgery, including bariatric procedures, and also features several trolleys for various applications from patient transportation to minor procedures

Starkstrom completes the Circle

Last year we told you that Circle Health had chosen Starkstrom to equip five operating rooms in Reading with operating lights, pendants, UPSs & Isolated Power Supplies , surgeons' control panels and the supply of the complete clinical HD Audio Visual solution involving cameras, video switching, Audio Visual infrastructure, media storage and HD video conferencing. The installation has now been completed and the operating rooms commissioned.
