VCOM: Innovation by Experience

Portfolio reports with new features

We have further developed the editor and now offer new possibilities when creating portfolio reports: With just a few clicks, you can set up reports according to your requirements – with individual cover sheets, a system image and your own logo. You can change content as required and add new content easily via drag and drop.

Up until now, you selected the systems for reports manually. From now on, you can also use filters for selection – this speeds up the process. You can also output the reports not only in DOCX format but also as a PDF file.

Please note:
The portfolio reports can only be created by users in the Administrator or Operator VCOM groups.

Performance overview: Months can now be selected

The performance overview now allows you to select a specific month rather than just the previous month as was the case in the past.

One other thing: You can also export the data from the operations overview as a CSV file.

Switchover: Alarms via e-mail

As previously announced, alarms will be switched from SMS to e-mail. Alarms will no longer be sent via SMS from the end of the year.

From January 1, 2018, the alarms that were previously sent as SMS will be sent to the e-mail address recorded under the contact details. Please check that the correct e-mail address is given under the alarm contacts.

An effective team: meteocontrol and Weidmüller

Thanks to a partnership with the electronics specialist Weidmüller we can offer our customers a complete and highly reliable monitoring system comprising Weidmüller’s string combiner boxes with integrated power monitoring and the meteocontrol monitoring and SCADA solutions.

Read here to find out what the system offers and how the partnership benefits you when carrying out large PV projects such as the one in Fukuyama.

Joint venture in El Salvador

Mexico and the countries of Central America have high levels of solar irradiance, growing energy demands and fluctuating electricity prices – ideal conditions for expanding solar energy generation. The market forecasts are very promising: in Mexico alone, PV output is projected to grow to around 17 gigawatts within the next five years.

By establishing a joint venture in El Salvador, we have reacted to the new growth markets and now have a member of staff on location in Mexico City. For more information, read our latest press release.

For families with
seriously ill children

Instead of Christmas presents for our customers, we have decided to make a donation to Bunter Kreis this year too. With our donation of €3,000, we would like to support their work for families with seriously ill children and ensure that as many families affected as possible receive help.

Bunter Kreis has been supporting families in the Swabian region whose children have chronic and severe illnesses or cancer for over 20 years. It looks after around 2,000 families each year and supports them by providing expert care. It ensures that life can continue in spite of the great pressure that the families are under.
