$150,000 Prize Monies
Applications Now Available for Goradia Innovation Prize
The Goradia Innovation Prize is awarded to those early stage companies that have commercialized or are very close to commercializing innovative technologies within the region. The selection of awardees is based upon the commercial potential of the innovation, the soundness of the business plan, the potential for job growth within the region and the likelihood of significant long-term success. The prize is a direct grant to be applied to bringing the technology to market. The Deadline for submissions is July 9, 2012

Texas Emerging Technology Fund Accepting New Applications
Through July 31
The Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF) has announced that new applications for Commercialization Awards will be accepted by the Regional Centers of Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) in July.

The Gulf Coast RCIC will be holding three workshops on the TETF program.
  •  Monday (July 9) at the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAYHEP)
  •  Tuesday (July 10) on the Texas A&M campus in College Station
  • Wednesday (July 11) at the Houston Technology Center.

HTC's Energy Acceleration Program Holds Successful Energy Technology Investor Forum: Renewable, Efficiency & CleanTech
Presented by the Houston Technology Center and the Gas Technology Institute (GTI), this private, invitation-only event provided an opportunity for 20 CleanTech related technology companies to showcase their product or service to over 100 investors and industry representatives.
