Kindergarten eNews

We continued to learn more about the state we live in, states we have visited, and how to find things on a map this week.  We will learn more about our United States as we study Presidents.

Next Week

  • Unit Study: Presidents - George Washington
  • Show and Tell: Students will bring home a writing paper to complete the sentence “If I were President…”  Please be sure to practice reading and writing to share with the class.
  • Bible: We are studying the Parables of Jesus.
  • Bible Verse: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
  • Reading: We will begin learning “s” blends (sk- as in skip, st- as in stop, etc.), learn new sight words, review sight words, and continue guided readers. 
  • Math: We will continue learning about 3D Shapes (sphere, cylinder, etc.)

Discover Shiloh Dinner Event

Our Discover Shiloh Dinner Event is next Tuesday evening February 19th from 6:00 pm - 7: 30 pm! This is a great opportunity to learn about Shiloh, hear from our leadership, and visit with current students, families, and teachers. Important Dates

  • February 18 - NO SCHOOL in observance of Presidents’ Day
  • February 19 - Discover Shiloh in the CCS Kid's Theatre @ 6:00 pm, please share with families who might be interested in learning more about Shiloh
  • March 1 - Art Fair and Morning with Mom in Fellowship Gym from 7:00 am - 8:00 am
  • March 6 - Spring Pictures (Free Dress UP Day)
  • March 14 - Student-Led Conferences with Parents (more information to come)
  • March 18 - 22 - Spring Break
  • April 1st - Terra Nova Achievement Testing (TN3)
  • April 18th - Easter Program and Speech Meet in Worship Center @ 8:30 am
