Highlight: Apply to the B-GRIPS Program

B-GRIPS (Brown Graduate Resources for Improving Professional Structures) is a new peer resource group at Brown exclusively for MA and PhD students that is launching this academic year, and we are looking for six PhD students to become founding members of the B-GRIPS community.

B-GRIPS serves as a wonderful professional development opportunity where students gain training and experience in conflict resolution/management and problem solving techniques.

All B-GRIPS will be trained in conflict management/resolution concepts and skills and knowledge of Brown resources in order to help problem solve, act as a sounding board, and provide information and introductions to other campus resources for students who meet with them. B-GRIPS act as a low-barrier and confidential resource for anyone in the graduate student community who is experiencing personal and professional issues that have to do with the graduate school experience. For more information on the roles and responsibilities of graduate student B-GRIPS, please see here.

Applications are due by Tuesday September 12, 2016 and decisions will be announced the week of September 19. Please contact the Brown University Ombudsperson, Ruthy Kohorn Rosenberg, at Ruthyk@brown.edu with any questions.
