POLICE FOUNDATION WELCOMES ITS NEWEST BOARD MEMBER


The Foundation is pleased to announce that Mrs. Diana Ryan has joined our Board of Directors.


Mrs. Ryan is a long time resident of Juno Beach, a Trustee of Trog Hawley Capital, a Florida based investment company, and a Director of the Thomas and Diana Ryan Charitable Foundation.


Diana is involved in numerous charitable causes including the Dana Farber Cancer Center, Lighthouse Art Center, Jupiter Medical Center, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and Massachusetts General Hospital.


Diana and her husband Tom are the proud parents of three grown children and nine grandchildren. They spend their time mostly in Juno Beach.


Mrs. Ryan has many outside interest. We are pleased to have Diana involved in the safety of Juno Beach.

COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION


At a date to be announced vaccinations will be available through Florida Health, pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order 20-315, for long term care facility staff, persons 65 years of age and older and healthcare personnel with direct patient contact.

JUNO BEACH OFFERS MATURE DRIVING COURSE


The Juno Beach Police Department has announced a "Mature Driver Class" which will give graduates an insurance discount valid for the next three years.

The six hour Zoom Video Conferencing program to be conducted on February 4, 2021 - 9:00 AM-4:00 PM is presented by the Safety Council of Palm Beach County, Inc. and is developed for senior drivers with years of driving experience.

The program will be presented by a live instructor who will review basic driving techniques and introduce techniques to help offset the effects of the aging process on driver performance including:

• Reaction Time
• Hearing and vision often significantly affected by the aging process
• Night driving, which increases the possibility of a fatal accident by three times

The course fee, payable to the Safety Council, is just $18.00
