After more than a two-year search, Nebraska Medicine has named a new CEO. Daniel J. DeBehnke, MD, MBA, will come to Nebraska Medicine in late summer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he serves as the chief executive officer of Medical College Physicians, the physician group of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Living Donations Provides Another Option to Give Life to Others

The need for organ donation is great. More than 122,000 Americans are waiting for life-saving organ transplants and each year approximately 8,000 Americans die waiting for an organ. Because the number of organs donated by deceased donors is not enough to meet the demand, some people offer to donate an organ or part of an organ to a loved one. Lighted Glass Tower Will Serve as Gateway to Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center

An 82-foot lighted glass tower designed by Omaha artist Jun Kaneko will be constructed in front of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. The tower, which will be called "Search," is expected to be completed by next spring. Kaneko talks about the creative process that led to the design of this art.
