Harvest Time
As retailers we LOVE the Christmas season. Busy busy busy, goods flying out the door, blaa, blaa, blaa. However, as food lovers there is no better time than right now - harvest time. Going to the Moss Street Market, or for a drive down Oldfield Road, you are inundated with the best that our local growing community has to offer, which is loads. We are all busy, but do yourself a favor and slow down to enjoy this once-a-year opportunity to gorge on fresh local produce!!

The Vancouver-designed Espro Coffee Press now at Cook Culture
The ESPRO® Press micro-filters your coffee twice, revealing flavor without grit.
The vacuum-insulated stainless vessel holds heat for hours and won't break.
We didn't realize that there could be this much difference in a French press coffee press, but we were wrong. Stop in to any of our stores to see what makes this micro-filtered coffee press better.
Check out our Espro products on our Cookworks.ca site here, here, and here.

Riding A LONG WAY For A Great Cause
|
|
| |
Most of us are passionate about something. Some of us donate money, some collect bottles, others dump ice water on their heads. We have a friend who is riding his bike across the country, ya Canada, to raise awareness about our waterways and oceans. In case you don't know, they aren't like they use to be.
His name is Ned Bell, born in the Okanagan but spent many years in Victoria before moving to Vancouver to get involved in the fascinating Vancouver food scene. Here is his full BIO.
Cook Culture and Cookworks, along with our partners at Zwilling J.A. Henckels, are getting behind his cause. We passionately believe in what he is doing and what needs to be done. Throughout this fall and winter we will be profiling Ned in our advertising to help bring awareness - and drive up his donations. So you are warned, we will be hitting you up! (And probably giving you something in return.)
His organization is called "Chefs for Oceans", and here is a link to his website
Please help us spread the word on this through Facebook - please Like the Chefs for Ocean website:
