Kindergarten eNews

This week has been a fast-paced one!  Lots of preparation had to be done for our virtual day and next week’s student-led conferences.  We are excited to have our parents come to show them all that we have learned these nine weeks.

• Bible: Finishing Elijah and moving on to Elisha
• Bible Verse:  Matthew 6:11-12  “Give us this day, our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”
• Reading: We will be explaining C and K at the beginning of words and ck at the end of words.
• Sight words: Review already learned sight words
• Math:  Number writing by 5’s to 100, fifteen after on the clock, whole and equal parts and addition facts.
• Unit: Frogs
• Show and tell: We are sending home a report assignment on a particular frog for each student to find information on.  Help your child to fill out the paper but let them do the writing.

• March 13-16: Student-led conferences in each K class
• March 20-24: Spring Break
• April 6: Easter Chapel
• April 7: Good Friday-No school
• April 10-14: Standardized testing week - Please do not schedule appointments during the mornings of this week.
