Welcome to our December Alumni Newsletter

Gabby Logan celebrated her last graduation as Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University last week, after she announced she would be stepping down on 6 January 2018. Gabby was named the University's first ever Chancellor in January 2013.

Last week also saw our annual Carol Service, the Leeds Children's University Graduation and our 5k Santa Fun Run, which raised more than £100 for our Inspiring Futures Programme.

Learning from your peers: Why everyone should have a mentor

On Thursday 8 February, join us for the first Trinity Alumni Business Network meeting of 2018; centred around the value of mentoring in business, and why everyone should have a mentor.

Anyone working in business, teaching Business in schools, or interested in being a mentor should attend the event - which encourages interaction and networking between alumni and current students. Find out more.

Still time to win £100!

If you haven't already completed our Alumni Questionnaire for your chance to win a £100 voucher of your choice, you still have time. This is your chance to tell us what you think and help to shape our future alumni relations programme.

Featured Alumni - Reverend Kate Bottley

You might recognise Reverend Kate Bottley from Googlebox, Celebrity Masterchef 2017 and Songs of Praise, but you might not know that she's one of our alumni, and also appears in our Faces of Leeds Trinity photography exhibition.

Kate is a journalist, media presenter, reality television star and Church of England priest; and she fondly recalls her time at Leeds Trinity:

"It's where I made lifelong friendships. The rugby girls still meet together regularly and they are my closest life long friends. LTU gave me a great academic foundation for my future ministry, and although when I left LTU in 1997 I never expected to end up being where I am now, I can see that the skills I gained and the experiences I had gave me a great foundation for the future."
