Have you or your clients had a yak yet? More than 150 people so far have participated in the Great Hat Yak. Have a Yak by 31 January and the town of Katherine could be named after you for a day.
Tourism NT is the first state tourism organisation to create and distribute a 3D commercial. A 3D TV commercial on Kakadu featured across the Val Morgan cinema network over the Christmas/New Year period.
Tourism NT CEO John Fitzgerald is touring the Katherine region today and tomorrow to see how the recovery after the floods is going. Tourism NT is concerned to ensure everything is being done to return to business as usual as quickly as possible.
Jetstar announces new services
Jetstar is to extend its Darwin-Manila route to Tokyo and increase the number of flights to Singapore from seven to 10 times a week, strengthening the NT’s tourism and business links with Asia.
International markets – trade marketing and PR services
Tourism NT has appointed companies in key international markets to provide trade marketing and public relations services for promoting the NT as a must see destination.
Tickets are now on sale for the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Cairns on 2 March 2012. Tickets booked by 15 January will go into a draw for one of two prizes.
