In his entry he describes McNair as a "great example of our Texas legacy of wildcatting and the entrepreneurship that is in our DNA". HATCH Startup Pitch Competition Accepting Applications Through January 30
HATCH, presented by The Houston Technology Center,
is a pitch competition for startups with revolutionary ideas. Twelve finalists will present their business plans to a panel of corporate, angel, and venture investor judges at a well-connected SXSW audience on March 10, in Austin, TX.

HATCH is looking for startups with disruptive product and strong growth potential in:
• Cloud tech and services • Mobile and connected devices • Web tech
• Collaborative tech • Big data • Virtual tech • Media and entertainment
• Health and healthcare IT

HATCH alum and HTC client Qukku is running a “Are you HATCH-worthy?” video contest. The top-rated videos receive special consideration by the HATCH screening committee and the first place video will be played at the competition.
