There are several active cases, hundreds of exposure sites and thousands of Victorians in cities and regional areas considered contacts who are getting tested and self-isolating. It’s vital we remain vigilant to protect ourselves and our families, friends and colleagues. We’re also well into our fire season, and our focus has to be on ensuring we are prepared and ready to be there when needed to protect our communities. We all have a responsibility to follow advice and act in accordance with Victorian Government and CFA guidance to ensure our health and safety. This is particularly important on the fireground; we need to ensure we remain vigilant and follow the COVID-19 protocols in place to protect our fellow members and crews from exposure. We encourage you to keep monitoring the Department of Health and Human Services website for up-to-date information on exposure sites and follow advice on getting tested and isolating if required. If you feel at all unwell, please don’t go to work or your station. It’s also important that you notify your brigade or work team that you are unavailable if self-isolating. And if you have any symptoms, please get tested. Let’s work together to keep each other and our communities safe. For more information on current restriction levels visit the Department of Health and Human Services website. For CFA guidance, resources and training advice visit Members Online.
