The Driveline Premier

The Difference in Transtar’s Differentials

Every business has a mission.  It guides actions and spells out an overall goal – it is essentially the reason for existence.  Transtar’s mission, The Premier Provider of World-Class Driveline Solutions, is front and center of everything we do.  It is on our minds when speaking with our customers, it guides our decision making, and it can be found on basically anything Transtar creates.  Even the walls in our buildings feature the familiar phrase.

One part of the Transtar mission is to provide driveline solutions.  We are moving beyond the transmission and have become a national supplier of front and rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive differential components.  Our differential line covers everything from light duty to heavy duty to high performance, and includes rebuilding kits, differential cases (loaded and unloaded), internal kits, limited slip clutch packs, actuators, axle seals and bearings, pinion yokes, and brand new full axles.

At Transtar, we choose our suppliers very carefully.  We understand that you depend on us to stock only the highest quality parts for your business, and we take that responsibility quite seriously.  For our differential line, we utilize OEM suppliers like Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Toyota.  We are also an authorized distributor of Dana Spicer, Auburn and American Axle products.  We carry the entire Auburn line and have recently added over 100 differential rebuilding kits to our system covering OEM and Dana applications.  One of our new products is part number 743B004A, a differential rebuilding kit for Chevrolet and GMC Pickup and Suburban trucks, years 1997-2007.

As we daily add new Aftermarket and OEM differential components, all backed by the Transtar Seal of Quality, we also look at what is going to eventually show up in your shop.  Transtar carries products for applications as late as 2011, such as the GM 9.25 independent front suspension for 2011-Up applications.

You can download our Differential Catalog today on our Web site, or ask your sales representative for a copy.  With over 70 facilities worldwide, Transtar has the ability to deliver anything in our differential line to you within 24 hours.

Knowledge is Power

The phrase “Knowledge is Power,” spoken by Francis Bacon, could not be more true in this industry.  At Transtar, we recognize that the more you know, the more you will be able to control your business.  This fact is one of the reasons why Transtar sponsors and supports both Automatic Transmission Service Group (ATSG ) and Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) seminars.  Not only do these seminars teach you technical solutions that you need to know, but they also provide opportunities to network with some of the greatest minds in the industry.

There are two ATRA and ATSG seminars left in the 2011 seminar season – Baltimore and Pittsburgh.  Click here for more information or to sign up.  And, don’t forget, if you attend a seminar, Transtar will give you $200 worth of Transtar coupons!

Mission Possible Frenzy

There’s a reason we talk about our mission so often.  It’s because we want to make sure that you know that our mission is all about YOU – our customers.  It’s about providing solutions for the challenges that you face every day in your business.  Our product and technical teams work hand-in-hand to discover what’s new in late-model transmissions, and to ensure that we have the parts in stock when those trannys show up in your shop.

If you are planning to attend the Powertrain Expo this weekend  in Las Vegas, you will see our mission in action – first hand!  Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a fun-filled activity and win some great prizes, as well as learn from one of the industry’s best – our very own Technical Director, Mike Riley (pictured in our new ad).  Mike will be talking about automatic transmissions, and how they’ve changed in recent years.  Invest in your business by attending this and other technical and management seminars at the 2011 ATRA Powertrain Expo.

And the Winner is…

Transtar held a contest on our social media pages for the opportunity to win a $50 gift card!  Anyone who was connected to Transtar on both LinkedIn and Facebook, and left us a review on our Facebook page, was entered into a drawing.

It is a pleasure for us to announce that Danny Burnsed, of Danny’s One Stop Transmission Shop in Lakeland, Florida, was the winner of the drawing!  Danny gave Transtar five stars and said, “Pam Fowler is the best sales rep a guy could ask for.  She gets my parts right, and if she doesn't know the answer, she will find out no matter what it takes.  And the Orlando warehouse rocks – they get my parts right and on time.  Thanks Transtar!”

If you would like to connect with Transtar on LinkedIn or Facebook, click here to find links to our pages.  Thank you Danny and to all who participated!
