3rd Grade eNews

The turkeys in disguise were a huge success.  We enjoyed sharing them with our class. We hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Academics

  • Bible:  Responding to the Gospel
  • Verse: Luke 8:15,  “But the seed in the good ground—these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.”
  • Spelling: In unit 16, students will study words with the consonant + le syllable.
  • Spelling Words: simple, giggle, jumble, beetle, purple, circle,, shuffle, people, snuggle, wriggle, kettle, ankle, temple, mumble, single
  • Math: Uneven division, 4 as a divisor, 2 digit dividends
  • Science:  Review for Chapter 2 Test on Warm-Blooded Animals, Test on Friday  
  • English: Identifying complete subjects and predicates, Continue classifying sentences
  • Reading: Skill: Cause and Effect, Model Book: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Novel: The Littles

Important Dates

  • November 21-25 - Thanksgiving Break- No school!
  • December 1 All - School Christmas Program: 3rd graders will perform at 9:15 am and have a call back time of 6:00 pm that night. The night performance will begin at 6:30.
  • December 16 - Christmas Parties @ 12:00
