Gourmet Street Food

THINKSHOP TIPS

Be Less Critical

When working with new concepts, reprogram your brain to Constructively Evaluate.  Practice this technique for a few hours every day.  You’ll quickly see the results and opt to use it as your default-thinking mode.  When faced with a new idea:

  • Look at the positive aspects first
  • Turn your criticisms into idea provoking statements by using the language How to or I wish.  “It’s too expensive” becomes “How to find alternative sources of financing.” “I don’t like the packaging” becomes “I wish for a streamlined package that produces less waste.”

Solutions spring from How to and I wish statements and new concepts will have a stronger chance of survivial.
