Friday 19 July, 7.30 pm, St Andrew's Church Hall
Following the announcement this week that the Secretary of State for Education has exercised his powers to open a free school at Pioneer House for 12 months, the Parish Council has organised a public meeting at which Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP will provide an update, clarify the current situation and answer questions.
After Mr Grieve's contribution, Parish Councillors will present the opinion provided by our legal advisors and set out the possible actions which can be taken by everyone who opposes the siting of a secondary school at Pioneer House.
The meeting will seek commitment to a set of actions that will show our determination not to have a secondary school imposed on our peaceful village, against the wishes of an overwhelming majority of residents.
